Have you ever put something in a box then squirreled it away somewhere only to completely forget about it? There are some advantages to being a packrat especially when you come across a stored box that gives you that “Ah ha!” moment when you stumble upon it and peer inside at it’s hidden treasure. One such moment was when my husband came across a box with a bunch of vintage handheld pocketsize computer games made in the early 1980s by Nintendo, Coleco and Mattel. My husband takes care of everything he stores so they were still in their boxes along with the instructions and original packaging. We wondered if they still worked and after adding batteries they all performed like they last did in the 1980s. All I can say is, wow, technology sure has changed. So, we’ve decided to sell them and for any of you looking to purchase these games you can find them here.
Oh, I forgot to mention that we also discovered a few more boxes with hidden treasure. A complete Vectrex gaming system with 17 games, a Vectrex 3D Imager, 2 Vectrex Control Panels, a Vectrex Light Pen, and a dust cover for the Vectrex. All in such good condition. The 3D Imager looks brand new in the box. I’ll be listing these on a separate page soon.
